With recent advancements in the CMOS and allied novel technologies, major research and development efforts are ongoing in the field of VLSI and Embedded Systems. Challenges faced by conventional CMOS technology are being overcome by new architectures, algorithms, implementation methodologies, re-configurability, devices and processes. Research in this area spans many levels of abstraction: from basic design concepts to circuit and system design, fabrication, testing and standardization.

International Conference on Advances in VLSI and Embedded Systems (AVES-2019) is the premier forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in aforementioned fields. It aims to bring together leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of VLSI Design and Embedded Systems from around the world. It also consolidates finest keynote speeches and plenary talks on radical topics in VLSI and Embedded Systems under a common umbrella.

AVES-2019 will be organized at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, Gujarat, India, on December 20-21 2019. It is technically sponsored by Springer.

Prospective authors are encouraged to submit their original, unpublished research manuscripts (which is not under review in any other Conference/ Journal) of the given tracks in the format specified in the Springer Paper Template through CMT for possible presentation and publication in AVES-2019

Surat is a developing smart city in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is world center for diamond cutting and polishing. It is known for textile industry, flyovers and rich culture and authentic Gujarati food. It is the eighth largest city and ninth largest urban agglomeration in India. The city is located 284 km (176 mi) south of the state capital, Gandhinagar; 265 km (165 mi) south of Ahmedabad; and 289 km (180 mi) north of Mumbai. The city center is located on the Tapti River, close to Arabian Sea.

About The Institute


This Institute was established in 1961 as one of the RECs for imparting technical education in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. In the year 1983-84 the Under Graduate programmes in Electronics Engineering was introduced and in the year 1988-89 the UG programmes in Computer Engineering and Production Engineering was started. In the year 1995-96, UG programme in Chemical Engineering was introduced. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, the Central Government on the advice of the University Grants Commission, has declared the Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology (SVREC), Surat to Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat with status of “Deemed University” with effect from December 4th 2002. The Institute has been granted the status of ‘Institute of National Importance’ w.e.f. Aug. 15, 2007. At present, the Institute is offering Six UG Programmes, Eighteen PG Programmes and Three M.Sc. Five Years Integrated Programme including doctoral programme in all above branches. It is ranked at 12th position of NITs’ NIRF assessment.

About The Department


Established in 1982, Electronics Engineering Department of Svnit, Surat is progressing at a rapid pace with the development in terms of infrastructure facilities, upgraded syllabi and learned faculty. Department offers 3 programmes viz: B. Tech. (Electronics & communication), M. Tech. (Communication Systems) and M. Tech. (VLSI & Embedded Systems). Around100 research scholars are enrolled in the department for doctoral work in the field of VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, Semiconductor Devices and Technology, Sensors, Wearable/ IoT based Devices, Digital Signal/ Image/ Video Processing, Optical Devices/ Communication/ Networking, Wireless Communication, RF and Microwave Antennas and Design, etc. Department is equipped with ultra-modern academic and research laboratories in all aforesaid fields.
